San Gerardo - Rio Piedras
San Gerardo - Rio Piedras
Hello guys, I am sorry but my Spanish is extremely bad so I am writing in English. I was looking for information if in San Gerardo, Rio Piedras there is Adelphia's Powerlink available, I tried to search in their webpage but there was nothing about San Gerardo. If it's not available could someone suggest me what's the best I can get in that area. I am from Turkey, and I will be having netmeeting daily with my parents and some friends.

Well, If you know the zip code you can search on Adelphia's website if the service is avaiable in your area.mehmet wrote:Hello guys, I am sorry but my Spanish is extremely bad so I am writing in English. Well, If you cant wait that long the best solution would be DSL. Call PRT and ask them for a phone, in two weeks it might be installed, after that call them again and ask for DSL, and that might take another 30 days, if you're lucky.
Another solution is Wireless DSL from Miranet or another Wireless Broadband Provider, but the initial cost is pretty high.
Yet another solution, If broadband is critical to you, then you might want to consider moving to an area that already has Adelphia, this one is a little extreme, but considering the options, I would.

I live very close to San Gerardo and I'm pretty sure there's no service in that area. I called on behalf of someone who lives there a couple of weeks ago and they said they didn't know when they would activate that area. San Gerardo is not even on the list of future expansions, although several places around San Gerardo are scheduled for the first/second quarter of next year. Also note that some of these areas (scheduled for next year) are already activated and they're as close as a half linear mile from San Gerardo.
Yeah man! It really sucks! I've been trying to get broadband for almost a year and in my case not even PRT was available. Some wireless became available, but bad service and initial costs kept me away from them. That's why this website and movement was created. Our options are limited and it doesn't seems to be getting any better. At least for next year Adelphia might be an otion for you as it will be definetly for me. My area will be covered on the 1st quarter of 2004 and I'm already on the list. Call Adelphia and get on the list, at the least you will be one of the first with the service once it's available.
