AERONET SUX (ENGLISH ONLY!)

for me it wouldnt be a problem if i didnt loose the conecction thats why i get upset, in fact its not that it is a renew of ipo the problem is that every 6 hours when the renew occurs DSL signal goes off when it get the new ip it goes on again.......but i really dont give a **** no more, i'm happy now with my cable modem and hopefully when aeronet get their services here i will move on with them so i can enjoy more speed unless centennial upgrade their velocity

centennial is not planning for any further upgrades until middle of 2004

24 hours later I still have the same IP address. This means that for some users the IP address expires after six hours but for others it lasts longer.

Just out of curiosity, do you run a web server or some other app that needs a static IP?

Yeah I have that 6 hour renew on my Coqui.net DSL... It sux, everytime I happens, my game/ddownloads disconnect and I get pissed...

I called PRTC Tech suppport and they "dont know"... yeah right... fck them

If you where playing a MMORPG or you're in a Counterstrike CAL match (tournament) and you get Disconnected, loose the match because of that or just get your friends angry, you'll be PISSED.. TRUST ME!!

Maybe you have the newer modem that PRTDSL is offering.. I have gotten over 300 hours of uptime with no renewal of ip or anything. I have the old zyxel and while it may not be the best is working... and "if its working dont touch it" or so they say...

Im getting pings of 70-80ms while playing also.. So it has worked wonders for me and unless I try out the adelphia FIRST for 1 or 2 months I might not shut down ADSL.

Whenever I get a problem I get solved ASAP! instantly, Maybe I've been lucky that I can talk to the guys that really make things happen...

I have ordered for an install 3 weeks ago and I started waiting for installition, my installition supposed to take a place on wednesday, nobody called me, and I started calling them, for WHOLE ONE FCKING WEEK! I called and all I got was bullshit answers, they asked for my phone number 21 times (I AM SERIOUS) with saying they will call me back, they never DID! , after one week, I told them, call me otherwise cancel my order.. they still didn't call me. After couple days they called and said, ohh sorry we were too busy, and we wont be able to make installition in the day we told, but if you want we can make it in two weeks.

what shall I say? YOU GUYS AT AERONET SUCK MORE THAN PRTC!! KEEP UP GOOD WORK, SO PRTC WON'T BE THE WORST!

To Drebel and Otis....the 6 hour renew only applies to users that use a account from coqui net....if you use a account from prtc.net that dont happen!
Thats why a lot of people dont have that problem and other people have this problem.

Aren't you overreacting? They just released their service, so quirks in their service are to be expected. I'm sure someone from aeronet visits this forum and can clear this up.
